Den 3-5 september deltog Rodolfo Zúñiga Vargas på den årliga DPI (Department of Public Information)/NGO konferensen. Årets tema var: "Reaffirming Human Rights for All: The Universal Declaration at 60".
Rodolfo som är CISV Swedens vice ordförande deltog på konferensen för CISV Internationals räkning, då Rodolfo internationellt genom sitt uppdrag som vice ordförande i Educational, Development and Research Committee, arbetar med frågor som rör mänskliga rättigheter och fredsutbildning.
Så här skriver Rodolfo i sin rapport:
"I do believe that CISV can establish great contacts and do more for human rights and Peace in every people’s lives. From our educational approach, we have the responsibility to be active civil actors in our societies and to do this, it is necessary that CISV International incorporate these initiatives as part of our mission (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Millennium Development Goals, Earth Charter, Luarca Declaration)."
